The Show Roll of Honour

Another successful Show in glorious summer weather showed how well our growers and cooks performed this year. All the exhibits looked fantastic and really showed just how much dedication and devotion the people had put in to produce such amazing variety. Our many visitors enjoyed inspecting them, and also enjoyed the excellent and very popular ‘pop-up café ‘ run by Cathy and her team.

A hearty thanks is due to all those who helped set up and run the event, as well as the many stall holders both inside and outside the church. Thanks too to the Vicar, Lee Batson, and his church staff who let us use the church and helped set up and clear away; to Michael Wright, Deputy Mayor, for opening the show; and to Michael Chapman, the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex who presented the trophies.

But as ever, of course, our biggest thanks go to all who entered the fruits (and flowers, cakes etc) of their labours – without you we have no show.
