This is a really quick and easy recipe for Turkish Delight, made in the microwave.

  1. Put the caster sugar and the gelatine sachets into a microwave safe bowl with 2 cups of water, whisk for one minute, and put in the microwave for 7 minutes.
  2. Then take out and whisk again for one minute, and back into the microwave for another 7 minutes.
  3. Now sieve in the cornflour and the icing sugar, and back into the microwave for a further 6 minutes.
  4. Add in the food colour and rose water and stir well. Spray a dish with light spray oil then pour the mixture in. Put in the fridge for 1 hour.
  5. Then with a palette knife cut the mixture into squares. Lay out a long piece of grease proof paper and sieve over some icing sugar. Tip out the Turkish delight and then dust more icing sugar over the top. Arrange on a plate and enjoy!
