Monthly Newsletter February 2019

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 12th February 2019 at 7.30 for 8.00pm at Theydon Bois Village Hall, Theydon Bois Essex CM16 7ER.

The meeting will start with the AGM and the agenda is as follows:-

1.      Apologies for absence

2.      Minutes of last year’s AGM

3.      Matters arising from the Minutes

4.      Group Secretary’s report

5.      Treasurer’s report – (Accounts and Auditors Report attached)

6.      Election of Officers

7.      Election of Committee

8.      Election of Honorary Auditor

9.      Any other business

  1. Library
  2. Summer visits
  3. Harlow show
  4. Other business, T-Shirts, etc.

The current committee is happy to stand.

Before the AGM there will be time for discussion of interesting or problem plants, so please bring along any plants you would like to show us or discuss.

After the AGM, we will be looking at members slides, so feel free to bring some pictures. We will be having refreshments, sweets and nibbles afterwards, so please bring something along. Thank you.

The Early Spring Show is on Saturday 2rd March.  If you have not already volunteered, please let Kit Strange or Ros Fuller (co-ordinator) know you are willing. I know more help is needed setting up on the Friday night. Set up starts at 16.30 and hope to finish by 21.30. This is our Show and its success can contribute significantly to Group funds.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 12th March which is our own Hugh Meteyard, who will be speaking about their recent trip to Mongolia. It should be very interesting.
